Meta Ads in Bangladesh, without the guesswork

Animated: a campaign card on the left lists websites, apps, video and search, then lights Facebook and Instagram, sets the Sales objective and launches. A signal travels to a phone on the right, where a sponsored post rises into the feed with a Shop now button. Link clicks, visits and conversions appear beside the phone and a signal returns to the card: one report, in taka. Above: 72 million Facebook users, 79% of social page views, 11.5 million on Instagram.

Facebook and Instagram are where Bangladesh scrolls. Running ads there is easy. Running them well, knowing what they actually delivered, and fitting them into the rest of your media plan is not. Here is how to do all three, and how AdZoic's Meta integration runs Facebook and Instagram from the same dashboard as the rest of your campaign.

The largest audience in the country sits in one feed

No other platform comes close in reach. Facebook has about 72 million users in Bangladesh and takes roughly four out of every five social-media page views. [2] [3] Instagram is smaller, about 11.5 million users, but it skews toward the young, urban buyers that fashion, beauty, food and electronics brands want most. [2] And almost all of it happens on a phone: 89% of the country's internet subscriptions are mobile. [1]

That reach is why nearly every brand advertises on Meta. It is also why so many overspend there. When every competitor bids for the same feed in the same Eid week, prices climb, and a plan that lives only on Meta has nowhere else to go.

The short version

Meta should be the centre of most Bangladeshi media plans. It should not be the whole plan.

What the person sees and what the campaign panel holds: a sponsored post in the feed, bought on the Sales objective on Facebook and Instagram only, reported as link clicks, visits and orders. Screen illustrative; on a desktop it tilts with the pointer.

Two lessons from our own Meta campaigns

Before offering Meta to clients, we ran our own campaigns through it, with our own money. Two findings changed how we set every campaign up. [4]

100%of our first test campaign went to third-party apps on automatic placements
245 / 177"results" reported against link clicks on one Traffic campaign

Lesson 1: placements

On automatic placements, Meta sent our first test campaign entirely to Audience Network, its network of third-party apps, rather than to Facebook or Instagram. The impressions were cheap. They were also not what we had paid for.

What we do now: every AdZoic Meta campaign starts on Facebook and Instagram only. Messenger and Audience Network are a deliberate choice, never a default.

Lesson 2: "Results"

One Traffic campaign reported 245 "results" from 177 link clicks. On a Traffic objective, Meta's Results column counts clicks and visits, not sales or leads. Read as conversions, it would have looked like a 138% conversion rate.

What we do now: AdZoic reports conversions as actual purchases and leads from your pixel, and counts clicks as link clicks, never "all clicks" such as likes and profile taps.

Animated, two panels. Lesson 1, placements: on automatic placements the budget flows entirely to third-party apps, with Facebook and Instagram at zero, marked cheap and not what we paid for; on AdZoic's default it flows to Facebook and Instagram only, with Messenger and Audience Network off until chosen. Lesson 2, results: a red bar for 245 results, clicks and visits of every kind; a teal bar for 177 link clicks to the landing page; purchases and leads counted from the pixel instead. Read as conversions that would be a 138% conversion rate. Figures from AdZoic's own Meta test campaigns, October 2026.

Facebook and Instagram, run like the rest of your plan

In AdZoic, Meta is a channel you pick when you create a campaign, next to websites, apps, YouTube and Search. The integration builds and controls the campaign on Meta for you. You never leave the dashboard.

  1. Choose Meta and an objective. Awareness, Traffic, Engagement, Leads or Sales. Add your Facebook Page, and your Meta pixel for Leads and Sales.
  2. Write the ad once. Primary text, headline, description, landing page and one of twelve call-to-action buttons, from Learn More and Shop Now to Order Now and Apply Now. Your image and video creatives come from the same library as the rest of the campaign.
  3. Set who sees it. Countries, age range, gender and placements: Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Audience Network. Banks, mobile financial services and lenders tick the special ad category Meta requires for credit and financial products.
  4. Approve, then go live. On approval, AdZoic builds the campaign on Meta and Meta reviews the ad. Setting the campaign to Active launches it.
  5. Manage it from the dashboard. Pause, change the budget, extend the end date, add countries or change placements in AdZoic, and Meta follows within seconds. Every change is logged.
  6. Read one report. Meta results arrive through the day and sit next to your other channels, in BDT or USD.

What you see after launch

MetricWhat it means
Impressions and spendRefreshed through the day, shown in BDT or USD at each day's exchange rate
ReachUnique people Meta reached, for the day and for the whole flight
Link clicksClicks to your landing page only, not likes or profile taps
VisitsLanding-page views: people who clicked and waited for your page to load
ConversionsActual purchases and leads from your pixel, never Meta's generic "Results"
BreakdownsAge, gender, device, placement, region, creative and hour of day

Our team also sees Meta's own recommendations for each campaign next to it, and acts on the ones that make sense for your goal.

Seven rules for Meta ads that work in Bangladesh

  1. Match the objective to the outcome you will pay for. Meta optimises for exactly what you ask. Pick Awareness for reach, Traffic for visits, Leads or Sales for results. A Traffic campaign will find clickers, not buyers.
  2. Install the pixel before you need it. Leads and Sales objectives need the Meta pixel on your site, and Meta needs time and events to learn. Put it on your thank-you and checkout pages weeks before the season starts.
  3. Start on Facebook and Instagram. Keep placements to the two main apps until you have a baseline. Add Messenger or Audience Network as separate tests, so you can see what each adds.
  4. Make vertical video in Bangla. Reels and Stories fill a phone screen. Shoot vertically, show the product in the first two seconds, add Bangla captions for viewers watching without sound, and keep a square image version for the feed.
  5. Give the algorithm room to learn. Each big edit to budget, audience or creative sends a campaign back into learning. Change budgets in steps of about a fifth, and leave a new campaign alone for a few days before judging it.
  6. Judge it by link clicks, visits and real conversions. Ignore "all clicks" and generic "Results". Cost per landing-page visit and cost per actual lead or order tell you what the money bought.
  7. Do not put the whole budget in one feed. Use YouTube and programmatic video to build cheaper reach before the peak, and let Meta convert the warmed-up audience. In AdZoic that is one campaign and one report.

Animated: a dot travels across three stages that light in turn. Awareness: Reels and video at broad reach on the Awareness objective, alongside YouTube and programmatic video on sites and apps. Consideration: the Traffic or Engagement objective to landing pages, alongside native and rich media on Bangladeshi sites. Conversion: the Leads or Sales objective with the pixel, alongside search ads for people already looking. A timeline fills from two to three weeks before the peak, building reach on the cheaper channels, to the peak, when budget moves into Meta's conversion objectives. Caption: one campaign, three jobs, one report.

During Ramadan and the two Eids, Meta prices rise with demand. Build reach on the cheaper channels two to three weeks before the peak, then move budget into Meta's conversion objectives as the day approaches.

Questions we get asked

Do I need a Meta pixel to run Meta ads through AdZoic?

Only for the Leads and Sales objectives, which optimise toward events the pixel reports. Awareness, Traffic and Engagement campaigns run without it. Install the pixel on your thank-you and checkout pages well before a season starts, because Meta needs time and events to learn.

Why does Meta report more "results" than clicks on my Traffic campaign?

On a Traffic objective, Meta's Results column counts clicks and visits of several kinds, not sales or leads. AdZoic reports link clicks, landing-page visits and conversions counted from your pixel as separate columns, so the number you pay attention to is the one you paid for.

Why does AdZoic start Meta campaigns on Facebook and Instagram only?

Because in our own test campaign, automatic placements sent the whole budget to Audience Network, Meta's network of third-party apps. Facebook and Instagram are the default; Messenger and Audience Network can be added as a deliberate choice, ideally as separate tests.

Can I see Meta spend in taka?

Yes. Impressions and spend from Meta arrive through the day and are shown in BDT or USD at each day's exchange rate, in the same report as your other channels.

A note on numbers and names

Market figures are quoted from the numbered sources beside them, with the dates those sources give. The two lessons are what we observed in our own test campaigns in October 2026, run with our own budget; they describe those campaigns only and are not a claim about how Meta behaves for anyone else. Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Audience Network, Reels and Stories are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.; YouTube is a trademark of its owner. They are named to describe the platforms as they work and as public sources report them. AdZoic builds and manages campaigns through Meta's advertising tools for businesses and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta. Product behaviour described here is how AdZoic works in October 2026 and may change. No campaign-performance claim is made; this describes our own platform and is not advice for yours.
