Ad Choices

adZoic helps advertisers show relevant ads. This page explains, in plain English, what data is used for advertising and the control you have over it.

In a nutshell

Some ads you see are chosen based on signals like the type of content you're viewing and your device — to make them more relevant. You can limit this through your device and browser settings, and you can ask us not to use your data for personalised ads.

How online advertising works

Most digital ads are bought in a fast, automatic auction the moment a page or app loads. adZoic is a demand-side platform (DSP) that bids in those auctions on behalf of advertisers. If you'd like the full plain-English explainer, read how online ad auctions work.

What data is used for ads

To decide whether an ad is relevant, signals such as these may be used:

  • The type of content or app you're viewing.
  • Your device and browser type, and general (not precise) location.
  • Advertising identifiers and cookies, where available.
  • Whether you've interacted with an ad before (for example, frequency control).

This is used to choose relevant ads and to avoid showing you the same ad too many times. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy.

Your choices

Device and browser controls

  • Mobile: your phone's settings let you reset or limit your advertising identifier (look for "Ads" or "Privacy" in iOS or Android settings).
  • Browser: you can clear or block cookies, and many browsers offer settings to limit ad tracking.

Opt out of personalised ads

Industry programmes let you opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies. Availability varies by region, but commonly used tools include the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, and Your Online Choices. Opting out doesn't remove ads — you'll still see them, just less tailored to you.

Ask us directly

You can ask adZoic not to use your information for personalised advertising by emailing privacy@adzoic.com. We'll honour valid requests in line with our Privacy Policy.
